8/2/2023 0 Comments Phraseexpress community![]() ![]() Logitech mice in my personal opinion have the best-looking mice, they are ergonomic, and work pretty well. I've been using the double-click mouse for 5 years now and still have the replacement mouse wrapped up. When it starts to get really bad, I'll replace it with the new one they sent me. It stinks that it double clicks sometimes but I bear with it because I want to save the new mouse until it gets really bad. I actually still use one of the mice that double-clicks. These were legitimately defective within the warranty. I've gotten two Logitech mouse replacements and 1 keyboard replacement. I wish it lasted for about 10 years but you do with what you have. I think paying the mouse cost for 6 years worth of use is fair. After 6 years, then buy another Logitech mouse (or try to fix the old one). ![]() So, basically, you get to use a Logitech mouse for twice the length of the warranty (3x2=6 years). You can even ask to get a different mouse which you like better if it's current market price costs less (depends upon the representative). They will send you a new mouse within a month. You send them a video of the problem and your mouse purchase invoice. Since the problem is so prevalent, they will know what you are talking about right away even if they deny it at first. Second option: A week or two before the warranty ends, you can call Logitech and tell them about the problem. Logitech should be more open about it and explain on the box that the mouse has a life of only x amount due to this but I guess this would really hurt their sales. There is nothing that can change that so it's not really Logitech's fault I guess? I guess they can use thicker metal but then it won't have a feathery touch. If you keep bending it back and forth, it starts to weaken. And, the metal is eventually going to wear out anyway. It's not worth my time to spend more than that. Despite the colorful photos, I still couldn't figure it out. All you do is open the mouse up and bend up a pressable level so it springs back to its former height. It's supposed to be easy but I couldn't do it even with all the colored photos. There is an actual method of fixing it that you can find on the net. I've bought 3 Logitech mouses that ended up doing that. I know exactly what you mean by the double-click problem. That wasn't happening prior to the MS mouse, but it's odd that the IntelliPoint thing would only randomly cause problems.?Īnybody else dealing with this and resolve it? Any information on this would be greatly appreciated. Then I close PE and re-open it, and things will work again for a little while, but then stop again. It's still loaded, and the phrase file is loaded fine, but it just won't trigger anything. Now, when I first load PhraseExpress things work fine, but then it will eventually stop triggering any of my shorts. Unfortunately, my Logitech mouse started its "double click" problem that Logitech mice are apparently known for, and I was tired of having to buy new one just after the warranty runs out on them.Īs such, I got a MS Precision Mouse instead, and I like it a lot! However, now I'm greeted with this lovely message: I've been using PhraseExpress for about a month now, just getting into my groove with it and enjoying it. ![]() dot file when importing Autotext fom Microsoft Office.Minor bugfixes and cosmetic improvements.TL DR - Is there a way around this MS IntelliPoint conflict? PhraseExpress is definitely a great tool to save time, avoid too much typing and prevent injuries like RSI syndrome. But before using it, I'd recommend going over the tutorial the first time you launch the program: it includes a clear, concise explanation about how to use it. PhraseExpress includes an extended configuration menu where you can adapt it to the smallest detail, so that it suits your needs. This is our gift to all users as PhraseExpress turned 20 in 2022. There is no in-app purchase and the app does not expire. The App is completely free without feature or time restrictions. You can also set the program to complete words automatically, correct misspelled words, launch programs, extend the Clipboard's functionality and manage your email signatures, among others. PhraseExpress Autotext belongs to the software genre of text expander programs and puts an end to tedious touch-typing. But replacing letter combinations with text fragments is not the only feature in PhraseExpress. ![]()
